OK thanks for listening to yet another Cricut Rant □ Good luck in the contest and til next time happy crafting! I am so tempted in buying one but my Cricut still works fine and I am lucky to have working versions of SCAL, SCAL2 and Fairy Cut so I am not limited to Cricuts “offerings”.īut maybe you could win a Silhouette SD Machine and cut whatever you want with no worries, check out the awesome giveaway from Mygrafico:Ĭheck out their Facebook page to enter, this is a great giveaway and I’d love to see you win it! If anyone had a Silhouette machine and wants to share their opinion on it please leave a comment, I want to be well-informed when my Cricut bites the dust □ I’m still going to use my cricut (and other PC products tat I already own) after all they are bought and paid for but I will use them how I want and I will not buy more from those bullies, there are plenty of options for my crafting dollar. It would be like HP saying I can’t use Kodak paper or Cannon software to print my photos, it is crazy! It is funny I saw a Silhouette SD machine on sale at for about $180 (which is far less than my cricut machines cost!) and you can cut what you want with it. I do not like any company telling me how I can use a machine I bought and paid for. ![]() I am so disappointed in the way ProvoCraft/Cricut has handled this whole situation. You can read the full story on the Fairy Cut blog. OK I don’t mean to sound negative but every day I get more and more disgusted with Provo Craft (My personal ban on buying provocraft products since they sued Sure Cuts a Lot is saving me a mint BTW.) So, I told you a few weeks ago that Make the Cut and SCAL had removed cricut compatibility from the current versions of their software and if you did not have software to cut fonts and svg files with your cricut already your only option was Fairy Cut (you can read my review of this software here), well, it looks like they bullied the Fairy Cut folks too and on June 16th they are removing the Cricut drivers from their software and they are urging all of their customers to back up their software and save their email with their registration code in a safe place so they will still be able to use the software with their cricut after the 16th. ![]() Man, the mud in Spintires is just incredible. All it really cares about is getting these aging freaks of automotive wonder in and out of the mud. Spintires' in-game objectives are truly mindless, and its controls are filled with phrases that will make newcomers run for their lives. This is clearly a product of zealotry, in other words: a product made by people who cared about one thing, and one thing only. ![]() You trade gas for traction for the most part - a clever mechanic. There's a hard-truckin' honesty to the vehicles in Spintires that prepares you for the austerity of the rest of the game: a pixelated start screen, a help page that may have taken all of two minutes to construct, a front-end that looks like I made it. The C-4320 burps pollution out of its side when you step on the gas in a way that you're possibly not expecting the first time you fire it up the D-537 has a forlorn pane of glass for a front screen that makes it look like it's trying not to cry. ![]() The genius of building a game around aging Soviet tech is that, for the Western audience, there's a freshness to the whole thing, a kind of rust-dappled exotica. It's a waltz, really - a waltz off a cliff. Still, when it moves, it's like a glorious symphony orchestra of cobbled-together shoddiness, all playing slightly different tunes with the same cheery enthusiasm. This is what the Mystery Machine might look like, I reckon, if Scooby and Shaggy and the gang had all been Stakhanovites. From the back, it's just a box, and there's something of a stoner van to its outline. My favourite character is a clanking snout-nosed rust-heap called the C-4320. All of Spintires' vehicles are culled from the spirit of the old Soviet Union, and they have a wonderful blunt ruggedness. Eliot was fond of the shift from third to fourth too.)Īctually, you're more of a Jeep. Most of all, you are the wheels, the tires, the roots that clutch. You are the axles and the juddering gears. Don't peer in through the mud-splattered windshield, because you know for a fact that there's nobody in there. This matters, because a sense of transformation, of becoming somebody else, is one of the first things so many games squander, isn't it? The moment you mantle and you don't feel the creaking in your arms, the moment you look down and you don't see your legs. It's a car game, in that it's a game in which you play a car. This isn't a racing game, and it's barely a driving game. Somewhere else is Spintires' home turf, in fact. The UI bounces around wonderfully as you rattle over the terrain. But you're not stuck where you used to be stuck. Metal starts to move and then it all rocks forward at once - forward, forward, forward, over a tiny, invisible hill. It catches - or rather you catch on it - and then there's this tantalising moment of pre-lurch. But something far beneath you has shifted imperceptibly, putting you fleetingly in contact with solid matter. ![]() You're stuck deep in the mud and you've been churning up spray for minutes. But testify! It takes place at a speed of roughly no miles per hour - the speed at which almost all of this astonishing and rackety confection plays out. Did-I-just-hit-that-badger? off.Īnd beyond fourth? I hear good things about fifth gear, too. You were off before, of course, but now you're off. A catch! Something fast trades with something faster: you're hooked and then you're off. You reach forward for the gear stick or whatever it's called, you push - or you pull or whatever you do - and there's a sort of sinewy catch. Ask an ordinary person if they're willing to rob a bank with you, and the moment they're most likely to say yes is the moment when they move from third to fourth. For the car, it's all like, "Oh, we're doing this are we? I guess you really want to get to that Mexican restaurant." But for the driver, it's more of an anticipatory thrill, a twitch of everyday nihilism. I can't drive, and I will probably never learn, but still: I hear very good things about the shift from third to fourth gear. ![]() Xiangling functions the same as she would in the paid team, and Kaeya works essentially like a Cryo Xiangling. Razor’s F2P team functions almost as effectively as the ideal team with characters you recruit just by playing the game. ![]() If you don’t want to spend any Primogems, you’re in luck. Electro-Charged has the added benefit of spreading to other, nearby foes as well. Xiangling is an excellent, and free, choice, though Xiangqiu’s Rain Swords tend to last longer. The final slot should go to someone whose Elemental abilities linger after you swap to a different character. ![]() If you have Zhongli, consider trying him instead. Some players prefer Zhongli over Diona for support, since his abilities lower physical and elemental resistance. The Superconduct Reaction lowers enemy physical defense, which is handy for Razor’s normal attacks. The ideal order would be using Diona’s Burst, then Xiangling’s or Xiangqiu’s to trigger Reactions, followed by Razor’s to deal heavy damage, and then the Shogun’s to finish off anything that might be left.ĭiona is, as always, a solid Cryo support choice since she provides shields with her Skill and healing through her Burst, which has the added bonus of lingering on the field and dealing Cryo damage for several seconds. She increases the party’s Energy Recharge and deals heavy damage after other team members use their Bursts. There’s no shortage of Electro characters to experiment with, but you’ll get the most out of Raiden Shogun. It’s worth adding another Electro character to activate the High Voltage Resonance effect, which generates Energy Particles whenever you trigger an Electro-based Elemental Reaction. If you’re lucky enough to unlock Razor’s first Constellation, picking up Energy Particles buffs Razor’s attack by 10 percent. His Skill creates a small Electro shockwave and generates a sigil that restores his health, while his Burst imbues all attacks with Electro and boosts attack speed. Razor might be purely a DPS character, but he’s flexible enough to work with any party. What is the best Razor team comp in Genshin Impact? Version 2.6 "Zephyr of the Violet Garden" Trailer | Genshin Impact Razor works best with a support party, one that lets him deal high damage and trigger Reactions to wear foes down. Regardless of whether you’re a free player or throw Primogems around like nobody’s business, the same guiding principles remain. The best Genshin Impact Razor team comp is more flexible than most, thanks to Razor’s highly adaptable skills. ![]() Journal of the American Statistical Association. But by thinking about it we can see that the range (actual output values) is just the even integers. Example: we can define a function f (x)2x with a domain and codomain of integers (because we say so). The median is included as the highest value in the first half and the lowest value in the second half. Step 2: Separate the list into two halves, and include the median in both halves. The median is the number in the middle of the data set. And The Range is the set of values that actually do come out. Step 1: Order your values from low to high. "Controlling Variability in Split-Merge Systems". The Codomain is actually part of the definition of the function. In particular, the range is a linear function of order statistics, which brings it into the scope of L-estimation. The range is a specific example of order statistics. The range, T, has the cumulative distribution function F ( t ) = n ∫ − ∞ ∞ g ( x ) n − 1 d x. , X n with the cumulative distribution function G( x) and a probability density function g( x), let T denote the range of them, that is, T= max( X 1, X 2. For continuous IID random variables įor n independent and identically distributed continuous random variables X 1, X 2. Since it only depends on two of the observations, it is most useful in representing the dispersion of small data sets. In descriptive statistics, range is the size of the smallest interval which contains all the data and provides an indication of statistical dispersion. Interquartile range is the difference between the upper quartile (or third quartile) and the lower quartile (or first quartile) in an ordered data set. It is expressed in the same units as the data. Free interquartile range GCSE maths revision guide, including step by step examples, exam questions and free worksheet. The result of subtracting the sample maximum and minimum. In statistics, the range of a set of data is the difference between the largest and smallest values, Maths has a median score of \(78\) and a range of \(10\) so all the results were close to the mean and the median. For other uses, see Range (disambiguation) § Mathematics. In summary, both English and Maths have a mean score of \(78\) however English has a median score of \(71\) and a range of \(35\) as some students scored much higher than others. Always be vigilant about the use of round versus square brackets while writing the domain or range of a function. The range for the second part is (10, 500). This is far greater than the range of scores in the Maths which is \(10\). The range for first part is 975.3129, 1600) i.e., set of square of domain values. The range of scores in English is \(35\). The range is not an average, but a measure of the spread of the values (or marks in this case). However, in order to highlight the differences in the marks scored and to give maximum information, a combination of the median and the range would be best. The mean is usually the best measure of the average, as it takes into account all of the data values. It depends on the context in which the result is to be used. The modal score for each subject \(96\) and \(78\) suggests that the students did better in English however this is only considering the two top marks in English and you have no information about the scores of the other students. The median is only a measure of the middle value, as there will be the same number of values above and below this middle value. This is partly true, but there are also some much higher scores. The medians, \(73\) and \(78\) suggest that the students generally scored less well in English. However, looking at the actual scores, you can see that this is not the case. This suggests that the scores of the students are similar in English and Maths. The mean score in each subject is \(78\). If you were to compare the scores in the two subjects, which measure of average would you use and why? ![]() Office receptions - videos like this aquarium give clients something to look at whilst waiting. Some health practitioners even use our videos in patient treatment rooms, as they feature relaxing visuals and sounds. ![]() Hospitals, chiropractors, psychotherapists, counselors and just about any other healthcare waiting area.5 years later and they still use it most days. This was an upgrade from 2.6 for me, and I think it's worth every penny. Friends who have looked at it are just blown away by the realism of the look and movement of the fish. I see many more artifacts with 3D than with Marine Aquarium, by the way.įinally, have to say that this new version is so gorgeous is breath-taking. I also own and love 3D Aquarium, but the detail and movement of the fish is definitely superior - sharp, crisp, realistic. The integration with iTunes is way cool and works flawlessly. I love that I can have up to 30 fish on screen a once.looks amazing on my big monitor. I love the "pan" feature, and the new moving background objects, especially the Christmas Tree Worm and the antler corals. On my 24 inch iMac Intel Duo Core, I don't get any of the rendering problems mentioned in a previous review.I mean, if I look super-close, using a magnifying glass, I can see very, very slight anomalies on the edges of some objects, but I really don't see anything that takes away from my viewing pleasure. Perhaps someone who has upgraded can speak to that question. I don't know if it works in High Sierra because I haven't upgraded from Sierra yet. So despite the lapse in development, I don't regret the money I spent on the original and the upgrade. Even so, it still works, with a quirk of two. Sadly it seems to be the case that development ceased in 2014. I saw no recent comments there in any case. Sadly the product web site was deactivated last month. I don't recall, unfortunately, how you switch between the two, or insure one or the other is used for a specific application. In order to get better performance you need to be sure you are using the more powerful video card. The computer will use a portion of the system RAM in order to conserve battery life. I suspect those having trouble with Marine Aquarium may be using a Mac laptop with dual video RAM. And, finally, the app holds my registration. The application, on the other hand, gives me access to all the fish and I can show up to twenty-two of them at a time-even though the limit is still set at eight. But they will be duplicates of one or another of the fish in the base set. The registration field is blank every time I reopen the settings and they won't close unless I paste in the serial number again.Īnother interesting issue: The screen saver is limited to seven different kinds of fish-though I can show more fish if I want to. For some reason, though, the screensaver will accepts but won't hold my serial number.
